There was a couple threads a few years ago on other forums about them. They weren't holding anymore power then stock clutches.

If he's anything like me he is trying to find something that doesn't have a couple hundred dollar name price add on.

Personally I like Valair over Southbend though..... I feel it is a better deal.

I'm trying get ol'kennys clutch to call me back again to talk about building me a custom clutch. Hell I figure if I'm gonna have to cough up a G for a freakin clutch it might as well be dang close to what I want.....which is 13" with a 3" wide contact surface like the Sachs only with more clamping psi. That's what I figure is the money shot, surface area +clamping psi+single disc= happy Ellis.

Sadly if the dude doesn't call back or can't/won't....I guess I'll buy from the others:(

Yeah, the Sachs rating for clamping is somewhere around 2800lbs. Aftermarket clutches start around 3200lbs. I want to try a 4500lbs clamp load on this clutch. I think it will hold nearly 500hp.

I've met you, and you don't have enough leg for 4200lbs clamping force! ;)

It isn't how long you're leg is, it's how you use it.;)

FWIW, I can push 275lbs on the leg machine at my employers workout room.

Can't be worse that the old TD24s that the logging companies used. Them boys had some leg strength.
