With the obvious exception of the overdrive section, yes. :)

- Most of the 3-speed section parts are interchangeable.

I personally wouldn't build a 727.

i have a friend that i built one for with a recorded 700 passes in a 3400 lb. high nines low 10s car quarter mi. with only one tear down and that was for a cracked hub on the converter. i repaired the pump cleaned it up and did not replace anything else. everything was stock over the counter parts but the 5.0 sec. lever and a reverse manual valve body :?:

I went this route, and am now converting to a nv4500. Tried a few different converters but in the end without lock up I didn't like it. The biggest problem is loosing a lot of power that never makes it to the ground. I know in the gas world a lot of people use them, but in my experience even with a bunch of work they still don't hold the power.
