2wd 518 to 4wd 518

Hey i found a truck local to for the cab to replace mine. truck has a rebuilt tranny in it and electrical issues on the truck from a underhood fire. anyway i wanna buy it to get the cab. can i use the 2wd tranny in my 4wd truck if i ever had to?

Change out put shaft and tail housing to make it 4wd

1983 Dodge D150 that has been repowered with a 93 Cummins/518 running gear AKA The Ugly Duck! I would much rather build them then buy them.[

thanks Bro.. i need to run the cummins torq converter right? instead of the 360 converter or are they model specific?

If its a gas trans it won't bolt to the Cummins.
