I allowed myself to get crapped on twice today. First at 730 am, I stroked a check for $380 in exchange for a driveshaft. 2 hours of work, $30 per u-joint, and $40 per yoke...pppppfffffttttt
12 hours later I discovered that I shot myself in the foot a month ago by not checking my internal O/D wiring while the VB was out. Both of my solenoids pop and show about 30 ohms. (Two different solenoid set ups.) My external pig tail shows near-zero resistance and my spare internal harness shows the same. In the original set up, I have 12 volts to the plug on the outside and near none to the terminals inside. It has to be the internal harness. The VB is coming out tomorrow afternoon.
I did unstick my AFC and run around some. The rebuild was worth it.
It holds power and loads the engine like it should.
Some more notes... I had a bolt in my TV cable slot with my old 727 to shim it some. With the shift kit, this created a bind. I couldn't get full throttle, but the shifts were great. I removed the bolt and could get full throttle, but the shifts weren't as good. I'll have to mess with it some more and find the sweet spot.
