Bite the bullet and buy hydraulic hose(have them made up). It'll never leak,no worries :)

I want experience in industry, Cat is close, Cat looks great on a resume, and Cat has better chances to move up the ladder than a JD or IH dealer.

Grunt. They have a huge rental division. Like 50% of the business. I interviewed with the rental manager and I'd answer to him and the shop manager. Sales, meh. That's fickle business.

On the wiring-

I swear my ASTG manual had a diagram, but I can't find it now. I used this picture:

Image

My circuit is good. I have the PATC connector and I sure think it's pins are too wide. The stock connector I got with my spare transmission fits a lot better. My fingers don't work so well at 26*, so on some warmer day I'll check to see if I bent the pins when I put the new connector in. If that's not it, I'll drop the pan and check the wiring inside. I'll test the solenoid and verify its position too. I should have tested it when I had it out

I'm still very happy with this converter and shift kit.

I did patch my cooler lines. My fingers are too cold to mess with the speedometer

My driveshaft is on the books as of 7 this morning. The driveline guy suggested a 4" tube, so I said OK. They have everything in stock, but the guy is backed up so it'll be tomorrow or more likely Wednesday until I get it.

Why 4"? Hell a factory shaft is only 3" or at least the one out of my donor was.

My stock 727 shaft is 4". I think the one I cobbled together is 3". He said 3.5" or 4" and had 4" 1410 yokes on the shelf so that's how I went.

The guy builds the drive shafts for all the pulling trucks and drag cars for 75 miles around. I shut up and didn't argue

Speedometer works. I got it clocked right in its bore.

My O/D solenoid shows 1600 ohms of resistance, so I'll be dropping the pan. Now, to order an aluminum or not? Hmmm...
