Did some stuff and took some pics over this long weekend.

Postby pulltilbroke » Mon Jul 04, 2011 3:48 pm

Well We got a bunch of stuff done on the old junk this weekend.

We Put a Good used radiator in and put a fan shroud on, then we Put on a Ramcharger rear bumper then we put a set of Mile Marker hubs on the front and then we put on some new bed rail caps and painted the toolbox black and put it back in after that we washed the truck and then got out the high speed buffer and put a real good shine on the old multicolor. We also put the exhaust back under the truck. Gettin ready to pull street stock.

All in all it was a fairly productive weekend.

You see, pulltilbroke is color blind so he does not know he was sold a multi colored truck. :D

Man andrew, paint that thing. The way you take care of it it will shine for sure. I have not even waxed mine yet and its been painted a year now.

Nah, I'm not colorblind.

Paint costs money, and This old wreck needs lots of work before its ready for paint. Cab, gotta find a decent box, some better fenders and doors, Well replace all the sheet metal.

And I kinda dig the multi color. 8)

put a do-it-yourself paint scheme on it, shouldnt take to much time or cost to much

That's the "reverse reciprocating dinglearm" that gets adjusted.

Andrew, you must have a happy parts man, or something.
Nice shroud, good looking lockouts and a fresh new rear bumper. ;)
I've been around you and that truck a couple of years, now, and it baffles me how that "pile" of yours always seems to draw my attention, as well as others.
There's just something about that truck.

Mark.

THose hoses and lines are for the Air fuel control, the lever is a poor mans valet and the line going across the motor is the boost reference line for the wastegate.

Mark, My parts man does treat me pretty good 8) , I'm surprised how much attention this old wreck actually does get it draws people in everywhere I go for some reason, Hell its just an old wreck built from other junkers and the scrap pile.

Yeah I'm kinda fond of it myself too.

Andrew,

How did you prep your tool box for paint? Mine is flaking off, my brother spray bombed it when I gave it to him, before he gave it back
Gotta make mine look pretty for SOP too ;)

Try Craigslist, they turn up from time to time, ebay is also a good place to look too. Those 3rd gen wheels can be picked up for a fair price, and then you have to get 1.5" or 2" spacers to make them work ;)
