OK! Just so you know, this time it's going to be closer to a JD green, a few shades lighter than it is now. Body is good, just a few small dings need filling. I'll be ready for you to come up and shoot it about the end of the month. I'll have a beer ready for you when you get off the plane. 8)

Wish I had more to report but I've been busier than a one legged man in an a$$ kicking contest at the shop.
Anyway.....my take on refurbished side moldings
Image
Basically I cut the chrome off the bottoms and found some 3/4 molding to butt up to the bottoms. There is a big difference in thicknesses, but I looked everywhere for something thicker. Came up snake eyes on that.
Here's the difference
Image
Looking from the side you'll never notice

And this is how it sets for now.....till I get time to finish up.

Oh and the belting is painted with some trim paint I got from O'Reillys. I'll snap a pic of it.

Thanks guys :)

I painted them all black and seen that I did not like that at all. It was just way too much BLACK.

Pete that idea came from ol' Mr terry blue (guy with the rear seals) a couple of years ago. I spoke with him a few years ago and this was some of what I retained from him. I think I spent an hour on the phone with him......dude is a wealth of knowledge.
