It was mid year,(91.5) that saw the introduction of the intercooled motor, and the big chrome grille and the plastic wheel and side trim along with it. So 91 was a transition year for these trucks. I have seen some odd trim and options in this transition year. I grabbed some parts from a 91/91.5 truck some years ago, and it had a non-IC motor, wiring harness, and steering column, but had the IC rad and rad support, big chrome grill, and trim along with it. And it appeared to be all original?
To be able to run the older grille, without modification, that truck would not be intercooled....so it's possible that the trim may have been added, or the rad support and motor were changed? But as I mentioned above...there did seem to be some odd ducks produced.
Check the door jam sticker...should tell you when it was produced.
