A/C leaking

Postby mhuppertz » Thu Sep 13, 2018 7:19 pm

Replaced the hose set from the expansion valve to the receiver/dryer and compressor, replaced the receiver/dryer and all the seals, still leaking the freon out overnight.
I put UV leak detector in and it looks like it is leaking out the receiver/dryer fittings, even tried double gasketing them, still leaking.

I can't figure it out...

Are the flange/flare fittlings clear of any burrs, dents or scratches? What type of gasket are you using? I am used to o-rings in that connection.

Check also the evaporator if there's any leak.

I used o-rings and the gasket together at the evaporator for the same reason.
