These were attached to the engine x member to support a skid. God bless the guy who invented the annular cutter. I freakin love those things.







I tripped over 100 4'x4' sheets of 1/4 AR plate so my skid will be made from that cause I got plenty.

I shot it with my 454 Casull and it put a little dent in it so it should stop pretty much anything from getting past it. Still figuring how I want to support the rear of the skid.

Skid is on hold as i can't seem to come up with a solid plan to hang the rear so I moved on to crossmembers.









Sliced off the top of this cm and it will become a 2 piece so
i can remove trans or TC if necessary.







This is the part when it occurred to me that those are going to have top be studs going up through top of CM cause no adult size hand is gonna fit in those holes to get a nut on a bolt...duh!

Really wanted the exhaust to pass through this but it is just too tight for a 4" pipe.

Still need to finish the front side but I'm gaining on it.

Wish I had the attention span......or time to do all that you have to your frame to my Chevys. Strengthening that spaghetti noodle frame would be a good idea

Clipped off the upper mounts off the IC and fabbed up brackets that will hold both IC and radiator. Slow and steady.











On a side note: My 73 hasn't had a console or TC shifter in about 2 years and I found that a Super Duty console fit perfectly with a few mods. I need a new lid but at least that truck in done for now.

Man you're not the the only one.....Palmetto state armory has some killer deals going right now. Working on a 9mm ar right now.
