Okay has anyone resealed the vaccum pump and PS pump? I'm leaking oil there and it really needs attention.

Vac pump is super easy. Theres a how to on dtr. Its just a few orings and making sure you get the tang lined up right.

Any special tricks I need to know to get it apart? I'll have to try and search DTR if I can still get on there.

Picked up some more suspension and brake parts today. I also picked up everything to get my AC working again today. We shall see in the next few days.

What are you doing for suspension?

Do you still have the 1/2t coils in your truck?

No I'm running the D250 lower control arms and 450k mile springs out of the donor. It needs ball joints and bushings bad just been putting it off.

I've been looking but can't find out how much oil and freon our trucks take. Can anyone help me out?

Edit all data says our trucks had 44 ounces of R12 and 4.75 ounces of oil. I found a conversion that said add 85-90% amount of r134a that was originally r12. So I figure around 39 ounces of freon does that sound right?

Andy if you shove that much freon in there you'll have massive high side pressure and crappy feeling air. BTDT. That 134 builds pressure fast and unless you have a really good fan clutch(sensitive) it'll just push the freon out of the gasketed flanges on the dryer. Or worse, blow a line.

I push two pounds (32oz) max in my turd and around 6oz of oil in my system. It's nice and cool at first start and in about 10min there's a nipple fest in the drivers seat
