You can test everything, but my moneys on booster. My '93 did that, abs/brake light on, sporadic hard pedal. Ended up the booster was leaking into the cab. I did replace the pump too, as it was putting out the bare minimum at the test port, and the hose was good

Possibly the pump then. Won't know till ya put a vac gauge on it and yedt everything.

FYI, I found while working on mine, standard vac hose doesn't have enough arse to hold up. I replaced the main line from pump to booster, collapsed as soon ad I started it. Ended up swapping a better hose off a parts truck, as my original was checked and leaking

I decided to dig my old grille out tonight and see what it will take to make it work. looks like a little trimming and moving my headlights down will be in order.

I've never had good luck with the GM hydro boost. Mine works unless I'm in traffic on and off the pedal a lot it will get hard.II'm pretty sure its the booster.

if you towed alot or needed alot of braking i'd say hydroboost but for what you are using it for a vaccum booster will be just fine and alot less hassle.

Its not so much that im scared, just cant afford to have the truck down. Im sure it wont be an evening install. And it wlnt fit in my garage so I had to wait for nice weather to do it outside. I did score a pump with the extra fitting. I think I just need hoses and do something with the pushrod. Have I mentioned I cant weld?
