Well got it started tonight for the first time in months. Not sure if the video I uploaded off my phone to photobucket will work but here is the link.

Well for the first time since March she moved under her own power. I still have issues to work on but she runs and drives. The front suspension is binding and just not gonna work. I have all the stuff from my D250 and D350 including new springs and a bunch on steering parts so just going to make the front 8 lug as well. What pissed me off the most is we got the windshield in without breaking it and I pull out of my drive to get a 6" spot crack. I'll let someone else do the next one.

If it were me, I would just cut the cummins coil spring down to match the 150s height.

Well the rear is already 8 lug and having all the stuff just makes it easy right now. I'll put the 150 stuff up in the shed and when I eventually back half it and narrow the rear I'll go back to the 5 lug stuff. I just have to get it on the road right now since the truck I'm driving isn't even mine. It's droped 3"s from what the ride height was before with the small block 727 combo.

Notice the crack in the outer tie rod?

Changed some suspension today. Changed lower contol arm, spring and tie rod parts on the driver side. It sitd the way it did with the gas motor since I used my old coils on it. Have to do passenger side and change a few more things. I'll be glad to get to drive it for a change. Going to order all the stuff to rebuild the frontend when I get the spare cash and hope to get rear modified to accept 5 lugs in the spring.

The springs are a little different, huh? ;)

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

 I'm usually barefoot working on stuff. My dad says I'm a nut for it but I just hate shoes. Yeah the springs just wouldn't hold the motor and all the sheet metal up.

Well finally got the throttle fixed and a bunch of little things buttoned up. I took her to the warehouse a quater mile from the house to play a little. She is very light and peppy. There back lot is a little over a 1/8th mile so I backed up to the end of it and took off. Built some rpms and launched burning the tire off it threw 1st, into 2nd and finally hooked when I feathered it. I was happy with how she ran. I still have to fix the AFC line and get a few clamps for my exhaust. I can't wait to start adding power.

Don't have anymore pics or videos and none from that day. I stripped allot of my donor cab yesterday and it's in awesome shape. I also opened up the other rear just to check and see if it was in fact a 3.07 and it is and in great shape. I think I'm going back with the 89 dark blue. I found a set of wheels I want to buy also and redoing the rest of my front to 8 lug since I have everything and I can replace all bushings, balljoints and just swap the parts over.

I plan to run these wheels since I feel they fit the old school look and are close to what were on it.
