I think they should match the old school look of our trucks nicely.

Not much progress but looks a little more like a sleeper. I still need to get a tire so I can change the front 2 and get all 4 matching. I'm working on a few little things here and there. Still waiting on bushings for the front end. I've been trying to find a 6 foot camper shell to slap on it. My dad thinks I'm nuts.

Hope to have her on the street next week. I finally got a little extra cash to get her on the street.

How much more you like? Little issues or clusters to work out?

Exhaust, 2 tires and my front end parts. Rebuilding all the front end so I don't have to worry about it. I can't get the dang balljoints loose though. I've bent the crap out of 2 balljoint remover forks. You have any secrets you want to share? Those big 3/4 ton balljoints don't want to give.

Pretty sure they unscrew. I pressed mine out, then discovered they were threaded.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

I can't get them to pop loose of the spindle.

I have one trick for that. turn the spindle all the way to one side or the other just to give clear hammer striking room to allow you to smack the spindle right where the tapered ball joint stud sticks in. I use a 6lb hammer to hit with. If that doesn't do it have someone pry up on the upper control arm with a pinch bar and try hitting it again. Its never failed to dislodge one.

That's the only thing I haven't tried yet.

Yup, that's the hot ticket! I thought you meant out of the A arm.

Looking fine Andy!

What is the overall purpose of this truck?

Well it originally started as a drag truck but since it's the only pick up I have now it will still have to be a real truck. It's something I still want to build up but more as a sleeper street pounder eventually. As of right now it's gonna be a DD I hope I can get close to 25-30mpg out of with the 3.07 rear.
