Rotted over the fender wells and the back passenger side was caved in and pushed back out.

So went to a pull a thon today and picked up some more Ford doors and these two radios. One is a 00 and the other is a 01. The 01 is really nice but I don't think it will work in my truck. Should have cut the harness out as well I guess.

So is this what they call a double DIN? Or is our trucks a single DIN?

I have no idea. These were the only Chrysler radios I could find so I grabbed them.

Supposedly, our trucks are called a din and a half. A single din, like the average am/fm/cd/mp3 requires that plastic adapter to mount one. A double din like a radio and tv screen, etc are too tall to fit, either you have to cut up top, or down below it to fit one.
Iirc, I read this over on dtr quite awhile back, and what little I've done with radio swaps in these trucks seems to support this.

For the third time let's see if this post.
I'm messing with my ac trying to get power to the compressor the right way. I have 12v to pin 34 and 37 at the pcm which I believe is ac power. I tested the low pressure switch and it has power, the little black box my finger is on has 12v to one of the wires.
Image
The two wire in this picture I believe are for the ac as well. The broken wire is 12v when the ac is on. It goes to this plug that is broken off of I don't know what?

Also is there a wide open throttle city off and where is the ac cycling switch?

Andy if you give up on wanting the computer to controll things I might have a way around it.

See the brown wire on that square box labeled cycling switch,I'd like to know what kind of voltage comes out of it. That thing is not powered up by the computer but rather by the control panel.

If 12 volts comes out of that wire with the ac controll mashed on,I think you could wire up your own relay for the compressor and have it function properly.

I could of swore jimlane on dtr done a write up on how to bypass most of that stuff because I done it on my crewcab....Mines on a relay controlled by the switch in the dash but it by passed the temp probe (not sure if it by passed the pressure switch)

Andy that's the black box with the temp probe running off into the low side line( line coming from evap). The low psi switch is the round one in the exp valve.

Brown wire.....how many volts?

Using the blue wire with the white tracer as ground the brown wire has 12V. I'm also getting 12V to the low psi switch. I'm just not getting 12V down to the compressor.

I was wondering if that brown wire would have had 12 volts coming from it with your test light grounded to the battery. If it's actually a ground you could actually use it that way too. Let that blue and white wire trigger the positive coil spade on a relay and the brown to the relay coils ground. It would allow the comp clutch to cycle.

I'm going to pull the rest of that loom and trace the wires down to the clutch.
