98 Jeep TJ/ 4bt

Postby Ggg » Fri Apr 15, 2011 12:09 pm

For a few years now I have been working on a 4bt into Jeep conversion.
This last fall I got enough of it done to where I can drive it and take it off roading.
I did a build thread on another site, here is a link.

So far it is working great, the entire vehicle has far exceeded my expectations for performance and reliability.

Very cool ;-) what kind of mileage are you seeing out of it, let me change that to how long does a tank of fuel last.
On a side note, if your not a member there, you can't see the pics.

Sorry I haven't been over here in a long time. Yes I live in the Rockford area and work in Rkfd. As far as fuel mileage, I have a 12g fuel tank and it lasts for 3 full days of wheeling. My lift is too high to be street legal so I only drive it near my house therefore I don't have any mpg.
Within the first outings I broke; 2 sets of Warn hubs, front driveshaft, astro van steering box, Front D60 Detroit locker.

I'd like to check it out. I live 1 hour south of Rockford in Dixon.

You weren't coming back from wheeling the 2nd weekend of October heading up 39/51, were you?

the astro steering box has the pit man arm facing forward Ive seen alot of guys run them so they can push there front axle forward with out having a steering box pushed way out ....... Now this is what I assume he is using it for because I dont know the guy
