Hey swap looks great, but I did see something that I learned the hard way. I installed dual shocks on the front of a 3500 Chevy just like you have done. The ride was improved, however when I turned the wheel all the way the outside shock bolt hit the brake caliper forcing all the fluid out. This becomes a problem when you hit the brakes and the pedal goes to the floor. Not an expert but didn't wont to see a nice truck with a boogered up grill. Mine was a Dana 60 with a bigger caliper this may make a difference but just check it out. By the way I have no idea what I'm doing this is my first post.

That'd be pretty scary! But ya I turned the wheels all the way each way and there is clearance enough for the shocks .Thanks though!

Well it has been a while since I have worked on the truck.. Life has kind of been in the way lately. I am picking my transmission up this weekend though! Hope to get it in soon! I have had the chance to fab up the core support to fit the intercooler and radiator. I plan on running ac but for now I just want to get it running so I can at least drive it and work on the small things a little at a time. I have the fuel filters and pump mounted just have to run the fuel line. The bed is mounted and the toolbox/tank combo are mounted too. I'll try to get some pictures up tonight sometime.

Thats good new on the shocks, it will give u a better ride. Until u can find a 60 I wouldn't worry about the 44. As long as ur not bahaing it it will hold up. I've had a couple 44s, one held a 396 on 40's and one with a 6.2 diesel(that was a stock chevy opt in 82). Never had probles with balljoints and I was pretty rough on those trucks. I would be more cocerned with the added torque and taller tires than the joints. Looks great keep up the hard work!

Still have to plumb the fuel system.

Im going to try to get my transmission in it this weekend.. hopefully. Then it'll just be little odds and ends to get it running.

Ya I plan on in the future replacing the 44 with a 60 and the getrag with a nv4500. I planned on doing it to begin with, then again I planned on doing a lot of things different but for now I want to get it running and driving and upgrade stuff down the road.
