Mine took two years but I modded the firewall and trans tunnel rear leaf locations rear wheel tubs and engine location, so like Andy said take the time to do the mods you want to get in there. I know I skipped a few things like the hardened dana sixty axles and with a spool it's pretty scary knowing one could break and send me into the wall. it already sheared all stock the wheel studs off (that was interesting).
I skipped the cage and it needs cause I got it road ready and drove it instead but the one thing I did do was get four wheel disk (man I must be getting old) and that has saved the day.
I guess I'm sayin it'll be fun as he// any which way ya get it running that's for sure but get it the way you want it first cause you'll never wanna park it to do mods (at least for me)
Keep us updated

Well been workin on the old girl off and on. Got new ball joints in the front rebuilt the calipers and put on new brake lines. Painted it all black and put it back together. Got the bed off and the fuel tank out and drained. Got started disassembling the engine tonight for new seals and such and found that my injection pump gear is cracked. Glad that I found that not sure what the out come of that could be but prob not good. Also found that the thermostat housing/altrenator bracket is cracked where the alt mounts. Gonna try to start doin some body work and getting it ready for paint this weekend maybe.

Will try to post some pics tomorrow

Well didn't get any time for pics today so maybe tomorrow if I have time. Got the engine torn down about as far as its gonna go. Still have to drop the oil pan and valve covers so not much left to do. Throw a fresh coat of paint on and put it all back together.

What all do you have to get done on yours dazed?

Oh yeah that sounds like enough right there. I got really lucky on that . The drip rail has some rust in it but nowhere it is rusted through that I can tell so far.

Something i just remembered, if you have to move the trans cross member back the cab will have to come off to drill the top holes.

Looks like where stuff has been screwed to the back of the cab. This truck has been bought and sold several times so ain't no telling.

Ok guys I dropped the oil pan this afternoon to put on a new gasket before I put the motor in and this is what I found. It looks like what is left of a cage for a ball bearing but where could it have come from and is it some thing I should be worried about. I have had the engine running a couple times for just a few min at the time and it didn't seem to make any odd noises of any thing. Any ideas or thoughts are appreciated.
