That wasn't the first thing that came to mind, but probably a good description of the torque converter.

 It came too me. I'm special like that! It's a gift (or a curse?)!

Well, with having picked up the Cummins donor for the crew yesterday (Thanks again Matt! :D ), Ike came over today, and we went to town on the truck. All that remains in the cab is the steering column, pedals, dash harness and HVAC box. :D Thought the floor in my 93 was bad. Not much left on the drivers side in the donor!

Front clip is completely stripped. Thought the core support was junk, but we found that all it will take is a bit of light work with a mallet. Pretty minor. The fender got it the most. Gonna need a radiator though. Isn't leaking currently, that I could see, but the fan clutch has made contact with the core and in pretty rough shape. Fan hib will need a new bearing and the belt tensioner is shot. Belt still like new yet, I'll leave it alone.

Should have the cab pulled tomorrow. Flatbed and receiver hitch will be an issue though. Neither was bolted on. But, instead they were WELDED on! :/ Anyhow, I'm putting most of the smaller parts in my stock trailer, instead of cluttering up the shop at work. :)

Got some pics taken, but they are on the phone and gonna take a bit to get posted on here. I have a stupid phone. Not a "smart" one!

Kickin' butt on the donor again today! :D

Got the fuel tank dropped out, rear harness is out, after having to literally dig my through the compacted dirt/gravel sitting on the frame rail (Dug out close to 40 pounds or so of that stuff! ).

Cab is completely stripped! NOTHING left on it, and am currently working on getting the spot welds drilled out of the firewall, so I can swap it over, or use for a template. Windows and doors are off too.Hinges, horns, remaining exterior trim and emblems removed from fenders and cab. Both the outer and inner fenders are junk and will get scrapped. Cab will too. All rotted out. Though, the roof may be useable to someone, for patching. I haven't scraped out the body filler in the drip edge, but at this point, it seems that it may be useable to do some patching...... The bottom edge is rotted out, but might get lucky on the top side. Not sure yet.

Saw the frame is cracked in several places and saw one of the 3/4" bolts for one of the rear springs is broke, too.

Will for sure have some parts for sale shortly.

Made some pretty good progress lately, on the donor. Just gotta flip the frame upside down and pull the rear axle/suspension out now. Would do it from the top, but the junk flatbed is welded on. Cutting off the headache rack off to save, and scrap the rest of it that is no good. Front end and every cross member ahead of the bed is off. :D

Have a bunch of pics, but couldn't find my camera to take good ones, so I had to use the phone. Gotta go bug my sis, so I can use her adapter for my SD card to download them. :P

Been gone most of the past week, but did get some more prep work done last night. Getting more rust cleaned up on some parts (skid plate and bracket, front crossmember and 1 piece from the tranny mount cleaned and painted as well. Using wire wheels on a pair die grinders (different profile wheels). Also picked up a cheap needle scaler for the hard to reach places. Works pretty good. :D Once I can get the ol' Mack out of the shop, I should be able to start on some cab work in the crew (found some cracks to weld up/patch). Cut a few pieces out of the donor cab, to reinforce a few of those areas.

I would, if they weren't stil on my phone. Still don't have the adapter to use my miniSD card from the phone. NOT gonna pic text all of them! I did find my camera again, so I can start using it, and doing it the easy way. :) When i can, i'll be adding a buttload of them to photobucket!

Had a busy week and wasn't home really at all, let alone to work on the crew. Finishing up taxes today. :P

You can get a number from photobucket and text the pics to it. IT will upload into mobile uploads folder and the pics are pretty good.

This is a work supplied phone, so I'm not using it for 40-50 pics. ;) Could do it through USCC as well, but don't for the same reason.

Got some more work done on the crew tonight. :)

The front crossmember is almost ready to come out (gotta remove mounting brackets for the sway bar) and only have 1 bolt on each side to hold the engine/front suspension crossmember in place. Once the front one is out, that one will then slide.

Getting closer to actually putting a few pieces ON this thing! :D

Was working on a Farmall 460 a bit today, but did get the front end pulled out of the truck today. :) Was hoping to get it out in one piece, and I did. Cut the motor mount "ears" off of the engine cross member and dropped it out the bottom!  Front cross member out, too. :D Time to clean up the frame and trim up the other pieces of frame I saved for using as templates for the 4wd suspension, axle and motor crossmember. :D

Now, if they hadn't taken off with the forklift!
