Too bad I'm not closer.....we'd knock it out. I wish I had more time to spend on mine but between work and family time something has to be cut short.

Well, I could of done it myself..... but I looked at it this way. He literally isn't charging me anything for the labor of doing it. And if something does have a funky knock or something like that..... it's not my problem.

Ok, he is charging me $200 for the complete assembly of the engine. That's cheap insurance.

On a side note, engine should be a low end monster. Full specs as of right now:

89 block and rotating assembly - blue printed and fully balanced.
HO pistons with 43 thou of piston protrusion
Hamilton 184/214 Cam
Hamilton 103# valve springs
Stock VP head
62fmw/68/.70
7x11 Micro blind SAC honed 30% over

Well good luck with that Eric. Hopefully the ol boy comes thru.

I have one injector line that just won't seal off and it's pissing fuel like mad. It's a steady drip....drip.....drip. The lock down pin oring had a tear in it....guess I did that when assembling the pump,it had a drip but was fixed up easily. So far the engine runs very very well.....idling and Reving up in neutral. I tried to power brake the truck to see if the pump was at least fueling half way right and it built boost but couldn't break the tires loose on the shop floor....I don't know what to think about that. I'm sure the afc adjustment needs to be addressed before I assume too much. Hell the engine hasn't even had the least little bit of smoke come out....not even idle haze (happy about that lol).

I'll see what I can do tomorrow.

The first thing you do after its running is try to power brake? Typical chevy guy!

Couldn't drive it so that was the only way I could load it up... Your just jealous :P

I've almost got it all back together....was dicking around with some new mold Chevy horns and misswired them and burnt up something in my fuse box. Apparently even tho the horns have two wires going to them (denoting that they require no ground to the body as its supplied by one of the two wires) they do however have a polarity and the ground wire actually does ground the horn along with the bracket. This being the case I hooked the hot wire to the wrong pole, tried it and heard a pop. Stupid GM and their redundancy.

I still have the fuel leak....I believe it's from a cross over tube, gonna pull that and check it out.

Leak is fixed....found the cross tube oring was split. Easy enough.

Charged the ac and found the magnet was shorted (used the 2001 compressor becuase it "looked" better)

Well I decided to run her down the round and fool around with the pump adjustments only to max it out......and still have no power. Well I backed off the fuel screw and re-indexed the throttle where I'd have to use more idle screw....the thought was I had it clocked too much....well that didn't do schit for me but to allow more fuel screw before throttle hang.

At this point I really just don't know weather to schit or go blind. I am absolutely to my wits end.

I have thought about Ike's issues with his pump and wonder if this may be something similar. Maybe my slide ring is backwards too. I build maybe 5lbs of boost at the most so it's just not fueling.

Ike!!!! Brother....what's it sound like?

Should i assume it was missing sheetmetal as well?

I may have been know to do a certain test procedure that requires both brake and throttle input...

That sounds really similar yo how Ike's truck was running at S.O.P a couple years ago.

I messaged him to come check out my terrible description of the symptoms so maybe he'll have an idea.
