Since I raised the idle on my 96 from about 680 to 780 rpm, I never have to touch the throttle to start it now. I mean it would start before I raised the idle, but took 4-5 seconds of cranking. And touching the throttle to start usually made a puff of smoke. Now it starts pretty clean. (For a knocking pos)
