First a Chevy with an inline pump, next an over-valved truck... You'll be singing the Ford tune within 10 years! Mark my words

Yeah sure......a ford with a Cummins in it ;)
I like the motors, plain and simple. I actually have every part I need to ve pump a 24 valve.....even the line adapters 8)
All I need to do is save funds for a 6speed trans of whichever flavor.

Caleb I'll swap you fuel system for fuel system, case cover and all, straight up.....and ve my Chevy

It was a rough old truck. I kept blowing up 727's in it and got fed up. It ate 7 or so before the 3.07 rear came apart. I pulled the engine and sold it to a local junk yard where its rusting away.

One day...

I predict running a VE-powered truck will become impractical before I'm ready to get rid of this Dodge.

I don't understand either. How in the world could a ve pumped cummins be impractical?

Parts are running out and the parts left are priced crazy high. I don't understand how a supposedly undesirable pump can be worth a couple hundred dollars in an unknown condition. I think Hansen gave over a grand to get his VE back up to snuff. Yes, VE's were on everything once, but everything has been sucking up the parts pool for 15-20 years.

The cab was pretty well gone. The floors had been patched half ass a few times. This side you can see the rockers missing.

Well it's at my moms....in her old paint shop. Yes Mom painted seeverral years ago, painted my first truck when I was 15 and working on putting it together......fast forward 18 years and me cleaning it out Saturday,I now have a decent place to paint it. It was used as storage for the last 15 or so years so nothing but the overhead lights worked and the walk thru door was a sorry excuse for one. I worked on it all of Saturday, from about 7am to about 4that afternoon. Lots of schit got burnt and the rest was put in the old shop my dad first started in.....also where the bil works out of.....he has no room left
Hopefully I'll begin painting on it within a week or so  lord only knows whats in stor for me :(

Oh yeah and I solved the power issues with the new fuel system. Now I can hear the turbo come on and it's gone with just a hint of smoke. I think I'm gonna like it alot.....even more so with the 7x10 tips(I just finished up pulling them from the dodge) 8)
