I have no idea. I'm thinking it could be as it would essentially do the same as our first gen stuff....lower and raise the tip,therefore altering the depth of the spray hitting the piston bowl. The washers I have on the new injectors are the same as what came out and tip length looked to be the same.
The fact of the matter here is the timing has been off with this engine since the beginning of the ve install. That was my guess when I started fooling with it and adding the M&H timing spacer later helped in that regard. Basically masking the real issues I was having to begin with......now,it's painfully obvious I have to jump another tooth and start the tuning of the afc.
I drove it some this morning and while it hazes at idle and pukes smoke like a coal fired train (and the timing being off) it hauls serious balls......but is dangerously hot on the egts. First time I've ever punched it and spun both rear tires running 50mph.
Might be Monday before I tinker with it again,I'll post when I do.
