So like I mentioned in the BS thread, my turbo decided to clearance the housing for a 60mm upgrade. Well, I decided to install the HE351CW I picked up from Nixon.
Torn apart to clock the housing
Now came time to test fit. Since the manifold uses 4 studs and the turbo only uses 2, I drill the upper set of threads out in the manifold and bought 2 M10x1.50 bolts. I think the length was 40mm. When holding up the old studs to the bolt, they are the same length, from under the flange to the tip of the bolt.
So much easier mounting this turbo. You don't have to fanagle a nut up against the housing with the top 2 bolts. I can easily get a socket and ratchet on to all of the fasteners.
Near final setup. I am waiting on a 4" V-band flange to weld on to the downpipe and I am getting a 3" pipe from work to go from the turbo to the intercooler. I will get proper boost couplings here next week.
I have a Hungry Diesel lift pump and a 3800rpm spring waiting for me when the post office opens on Tuesday. I also have Isspro gauges coming. Once I get those installed, my marine 370s are getting installed.
