Well, whichever. I remember Ellis and Levi going on about a diode a while back, I may just use one of the twin blade fuse type diodes or something instead...

I'll just use it for the blower motor high setting, like that Jim Lane write-up on DTR...I guess I should have pulled some regular Bosch relays today...

Those relays are the same too. An inline diode may be the best bet. I like that Jim lane relay deal, I may do it myself some day. I have it copied and saved on my PC someplace.

I'm just paranoid about burning up another voltage regulator...especially the blue Mopar one I'm running now. I grabbed two old ones today, I'll use them when I'm trying everything out. I did get some vacuum canisters today to steady out the cruise control, the "re-learning" thing must not work on the 91 and older stuff...I set that thing probably 30 times...still surges. Time to mess with the vaccum.

30 should be a battery feed
87 should continue on to the blue wire going into the VR
86 should be ignition feed
85 should be ground.

I think.

I used a relay like that and put all my underhood stuff on it, not just the VR. It's big enough to handle it all.

That's right Levi. I was having a brain fart on 85 and 86, couldn't remember which was which. Most of those are 30 or 40 amp relays, FYI.

I feel like the biggest idiot in the world. I really wish I kept the spare doors I had, with all manual stuff. After trying to fix the wiring cracks and breaks for the windows and locks, at this point, it'll be easier to go to all manual operation. The wires are hard and brittle, especially the black and tan 12 awg power/ground wires :(

Time to build you a new harness.

I have the harness out of the 93 cab, it's not as brittle and hard as the 91 harness... just hacked as all get out. I think I can fix it...maybe. What other Dodge vehicles used the same door window and lock switches as ours? The ones I have are just about done.

it looks like the Dakota does. I've had both in my hands but never side by side. so I can't be 100% but they look darn near identical.

Right on. Looks like full size vans did too.

I rebuilt the spare harness I had...it was the 91 harness and I was running the 93. It wasn't as stiff and brittle, but pretty close. Ran out of time to check to see if it'll work or not...for the sake of my sanity, I hope it does. I need the turd up and running, I got several loads of house demo to haul off.

Well, got the windows and locks to work for a day then the crapped out again. Done with electric stuff, going with all manual stuff.

This thing has cost me over a $1 a mile to drive...would like to run it a few hundred miles without something crapping out. I really like the thing, but there is always something that needs fixed. For example, the rear axle is on borrowed time, the pinion bearings are loose as all get out, and it has a chipped tooth. Just want something to drive for a while that I won't have to spend more than one day a week working on it. I am super busy right now, studding for the P.O.S.S. test, renovating a house, etc....

And by electric stuff I meant the clapped out wiring that our trucks came with. The trucks I've been looking at are bare bones work trucks...rubber floors, manual windows, etc.
