Bill has a 110v Hobart 140 he's selling. I got a new one last summer from Northern Tool, $500, free shipping, free cart. I think it's as good as a Miller for less money. I did read someplace that Miller owns Hobart anyways. Nice thing about the 110v is you can use it anyplace.

I have been online looking around, if I go to Lowes and buy a Lincoln, I can use my 10% discount. might go that way. Seen one, K2480-1, it will weld up to 5/16 with gas...it might be the one for me.

If you were closer I'd stitch it in for you. How about some of that epoxy crap they use on replacing quarter panels now?

Thanks Tom, I appreciate the offer ;)

I dunno anything about that epoxy stuff, might have to google it...

Finally made some progress today, got the rest of my seals in the mail today along with a new 29 spline coupler, and put the finishing touches on my NV4500...

Be careful with Lowe's Lincoln welders. They are Lincoln's cheap hobbyist line. Plastic parts etc. You want a 'Power Mig', not a 'Pro Mig'. Also the 5/16 is with flux-cored gasless wire. Is that way with any of Lincolns 110 welders.

Bill, I really want a Power MIG 140C, but really can't find a good deal on one. I seen a Power MIG 140T on C-list, but the ass-hat that listed it doesn't answer or return phone calls or texts. The unit was new, in box for $550....

Bill, thanks for the info.

I am f'n fed up at this point. Two days of perfect weather has passed and I haven't been able to really do too much. No parts means no progress means won't make the May 15th deadline :(

Busted ass media blasting the floor of the cab and some odds and ends parts this morning. Laid down more primer and a coat of paint on the floor to protect it from rusting up again. Still got a few areas to blast and paint that I missed earlier. Got a line on a new in box Lincoln SP-140T welder, going to run up and check it out tomorrow morning.

Tried and true.... Awesome stuff! Used that several places on my truck. Rear fender well and a couple other spots. No heat from welding to warp the bed side and completely seals it off from the back side so you don't get moisture behind your body filler.

My dad and his buddy did some testing on the stuff. Put a small spot of it between two strips of sheet steel. Then pulled it apart. Metal actually tore before the epoxy came apart.

Gonna have to get me some of that stuff...

Finally got in touch with the guy selling that new, in box, Lincoln SP-140T, just picked it up for $525, tried my best at haggling the price down, but he was pretty firm on price. Oh well, still got a good deal I think ;)

Ike let me know if you want a good deal on any contact tips, canvas cover, parts, or wire for your new machine at Michaels event in June. You probly won't find any better deal on anything;).

Almost have all of your parts loaded, Ike.
Still have to put the driver's fender in the bed, wait on a response on a couple of trannies, then cap it off with your bed.
Hoping to see you early in the morning.

Mark.
