Update....
Starter works and sounds a lot better than the old one. Got that new pump on, was a flat pain in the arse to get the injectors bled. Once I gave it a big ol whiff of ether, it came to life. Runs damn good, still got to get a governor spring in it, but I took a few thousandths off the AFC foot, and it has a ground NON-IC (75) pin in it.
Figured I'd drive the thing, so I took a trip out to Lenox IA to give Ryker his pump he bought from me. Didn't miss a beat, drove 80 mph most of the time on the interstate, got 17.8mpg on the way out there. Only hiccup was the wiper bushing at the motor arm shelled out a few miles from Lenox, Daniel called Napa in Creston and they had some waiting for me to get on my return trip. Got it all fixed in Creston and had no issues on the trip home.
Tried a new air filter setup, found some metal cased, cone style air filters I found in the scrap bin at work, brand spanking new Caterpillar units. Can't really get a good feel on them just yet, need to get a filter minder plumbed in and see if they can flow a decent amount of air...seemed to do ok on todays trip...
