Well, take it off and use some soap and water. That should kill the squirmy things.

Update
installed fuel dowel and 3200 gov spring last week WOW what a diff, really perched it up.
Working on swapping out the t stat housing, different upper hose, now I can run the stock fan too. was just running a small elec one, for the most part runs cool with no fan.
limited time at night makes for a drawn out project some times.
Soon we will try putting the hood back on, although with it off it draws a lot of attention every where I go.

Next on the list is swapping in a diff rear axle with 3:55s something that I have in my stockpile 4:10 are a bit low even with 37s but im not sure if I want 3:55 or 3:73 so we will see how these do on our trip to Maine next month.

An intercooler would help too if you could squeeze one in there...

it gets high 30s to low 40s. not 50s like the older ones but great power, it will smoke the tires.

Well my 3.55 axle swap was a bust. moved the perches, new cover, new pinion seal. had it all bolted in to find that the drive shaft was about 4" to long, seems that the pinion shaft is a lot longer moving the yoke toward the t-case, axle was a sterling 10.25 out of a 90's ford, just had that shaft built so out it came and back in with the 14bolt. waste of a good day, but I did add to my rear springs to get things leveled up. guess we will see what kind of mileage those 4.10s get on our trip to maine.

Made our trip to Old Orchard beach Maine last weekend for the car show Got 15mpg with the 4.10 gears in there with limited highway travel, might have averaged 45mph. I starting to think a little more about a OD trans. Its was a bit wet on Thursday and Friday which killed Friday night cruise in on main street, that's always the best part of the weekend. lots of cool stuff that's not at the show. It was a good weekend and a great first road trip.

Sounds like OD wouldn't be a bad idea, or a manual swap.

ya wish I hadn't dumped $2200.00 in that 727 now. could have bought a chevy bell adapter with flex plate and a stand alone control for a 4l80e. I have a friend with a late 90's 4l80e that was just done over then the 6.5 td blew up. guess maybe I should advertise my 727.
