Sorry for the late reply but thanks for offering your help. lol I finally got the rear taken care of for the most part. decided to stick with the 6' bed for now. Went with all new polyurethane bushings.

made some 3" spacers
Image

boxed them most of the way on the inside for extra support

had an extra 36x12.5R16.5 laying around.

I think you need a few more leaves in the springs, they look a little thin...........

lol I know right? The red truck used to be a dumptruck.......or says the previous owner. I got quite a bit of work done on it today but now I'm having second thoughts on which axles to use. Ford Dana 60 Kingpin.....OR.....'92 and up Dana 60 ball joint?

Lots of work for you there...but will be worth it in the end. I did my2wd to 4wd conversion last year on my crewcab from Oct-May.

I have to ask what a ball joint Dana 60 is? To my knowledge all Dana 60 front axles are king pin units.

Later Ford D60's (85 and up) used ball joints, pre-79, they were kingpin. 94 on up Dodge D60's used ball joints, and axle disconnect (up to about 00-01ish). Both are left side diff units.

Either way, if you are using Dodge drivetrain and suspension components, i.e., spring hangers, right side drop transfer case, just use a proper D60 axle...as pre-93. If you are four linking it, use whatever.

I'm going to be using a mix of parts. Lots of work and custom parts. I just ordered the joints/bushing as well as tubing for radius arms. I'm going to use the old coil springs for now till I get some with a higher weight rating. There's a few E350 powerstokes sitting at a local junk yard that I might grab the springs from. Transfer case (hopefully a Ford NP205) is on the shopping list.
