Crew Cab Flat Bed Ideas

Postby JeffTheMarine » Mon May 26, 2014 9:01 pm

I am looking at either getting a new short bed for my crew cab truck or possibly building my own flat bed. If you guys have some pictures of your own crews with flat beds on them post some pictures for some ideas.

Thanks
Jeff

Hacksteer is the only one I know who built a bed for his crew but you have seen those pics.

Or just search for flat beds. Why does it have to be crew cabs.

I've been thinking about putting a flatbed on my crew and just picturing them in my head I think some would look stupid on it. But it would be nice to have pictures of it on a crew. I've seen single stacks on reg and ext cabs but I put one on my crew and thought it looked dumb so I pulled it with in a couple weeks lol.

I built a flatbed w/wood deck for my red truck (8'x6'). I also plan to built a flatbed for my crew cab. The short bed on it now is kinda beat up but if u want it (or parts of it) let me know.

hi jeff
I have a 2004 flatbed exta-cab I am converting. It came with a flatbed- but a kind of thin flimsy one which they have mounted a 5-th wheel hitch.

I have been thinking of building a flat bed when I am done. I have seen some nice flat beds built by welding guys who do mobile welding. They have often side cutouts for an oxy-acetylene tanks- and a minimum height bed.
Look on weldingweb.com and search for "truck" in the for sale forum.
you will see some neat beds !
