Well I changed engine harness today to the 89 and my speedo now works and my wait to start isn't flashing anymore. I guess maybe the speedo signal runs through the grid heater module? I also got my radio in and working, now I am down to exhaust and my odometer doesn't work. I assume since I get a speedo reading the odo should be working too, but no doubt the gears are crapped out.

When will the 4x4 conversion begin? Will you be running CTD fender badges? Do you need them?

I am aiming for fuel economy and I won't ever be getting it out when there is salt on the roads so I haven't planned on a 4wd conversion. I will probably at some point swap at least the right side fender with the parts truck as the one on the crew has a cancer spot. I guess then it will get at least one badge. lol I would also like to swap the bedsides with the parts truck as it has excellent sides but the box is beat to sthi. My crew has a good box but the bedsides have cancer. If I win the lottery I will look into having a pro do that for me. I am not a body man. I loathe painting and sheet metal work.

AFter getting the speedo fixed finally I only had a heater hose leaking where it goes to the core so I tightened the clamp, other than that it has been great and is getting a little better than 16mpg average with the 4.56's. I can't wait to put the 3.07's in and get 20mpg.....I hope.
