i had some mirrors made by cipa. the head would slide out and lock with a setscrew. They were great when pulling an enclosed trailer. I have one left, and my search for a 2nd has come up empty. it seems they've been discontinued.

That's weird! If it doesn't have screws or an exposed bolt I don't know how it comes off!

I'll have to look again.. I know that the door side has one exposed screw clear on the bottom kinda hidden from view. I could have missed something like that.

Plan is to put some underbody tool boxes in the front. That should help fill it out for you Jon...

I'd be a buffing machine on that bed right now. It looks great though.

yeah.. I am having the same issue.. Don't see anything that comes apart.. and don't feel like pulling on the glass to see if it just "clips" in there.. I am sure I would break something...

Well drove the truck for a week and developed a vibration.. took a look at it and the pinion bearings are way loose.. so I took it back to the mechanic who set up the axle for me.. he is going to let me know.. so far he said the pinion nut was good and tight and the oil he drained out looked good still. (no shiny stuff in it) Will know more this afternoon. dang it man!!

Looks like the bearing races were not seated in properly. All the bearings look good and everything except for being loose.. so he is re-measuring, re-shimming, and rebuilding.. should have the truck back in a day or so. That's good because we leave saturday for a camping trip and I need it to drag the camper.
