gas pedals

Postby jethro » Fri Jul 17, 2015 12:50 am

2004 f-350

Noticed I have NO cable coming from my gas pedal- it has a nice coil spring and a BIG electrical plug.
Was the 6 liter that used to be there- was it all fly-by-wire or did someone just rip the cable out ?
I am wondering because I DONT SEE and connections for a cable anywhere. There is a hole near there in the firewall
but it appears that the insulation on the outside has never been "poked through".

Do I just get an earlier pedal or make one of my own ? (home brew....)

The diesel super duties are all drive-by-wire. The gas trucks still have cables so just get a pedal for one of them.
