Since doin the new updates to the truck i hqve noticed a small drip of oil comin from the dip stick every so often. Never noticed it before the tear down. So i figured it might need a vent in the valve cover. I wasnt able to feel any preasure bein built up in the dip stick tube or the oil fill tube. But figured it couldnt hurt.

So i picked up a k&n crank case filter with a 1/2 nipple and a pcv grommet for a mid 90s chevy. I measured out the location and installed the filter. I built a baffle out of some thin aluminum and mounted it to tue bottom of the valve cover. I drilled and tapped the 2 casting posts on either side of the area the vent is in. I used 2 6-32 screw with loc tite on them. Then i put a small amount of jb weld around the heads of the screws. Dont need them backing out! I ran the motor till it warmed up then made a few good pulls up and down my road. No oil on the top of the baffle or on the filter stem. Also no oil out the dip stick!

Got some Dyno time for the truck on Friday. Hopefully this evening I can get my fuel lines replaced with a larger size and get my tach hooked back up. Can't wait to see what it makes for power!

Nice man. I used 3/4" stuff when I added extra crankcase ventilation on my 4th gen, and that's done nicely for curing the overpressure issue. I've been debating adding a second 3/4" line to my tappet cover for a nice clean look.

So i took my naked crew cab down tonrun on a dyno before heading to the body shop last Friday. What a disappointment:frown2: i had a number in my head and it was close but not close enough. She put down 361.4 hp. I dont have a torque reading cause the diesel performance shop who owns the dyno cant read torque specs on a diesel. Kinda wierd i think. You can see in the video it cleans up the fuel at top end really well. The pump is pretty maxed out. So i ordered a set of 5x.016 nozzles to replace my 5x.014s.

I also figured out when i dropped it off at the body shop that it was in 4wd! The hubs where unlocked so it was spinnin the tcase and front axle. Im sure that was robbim alittle hp! I guess when its done ill have to fimd a northwest dyno day and go run it

Looks like if you could clean up more of the low end smoke it'd make a few more ponies as well.

I've got a Borg Warner k-27 and a Borg Warner sxe 369 with the 1.00 A/R turbine housing. I'm running 5×.014 injectors (i just ordered a set of 5x.016 nozzles). Hungry diesel fuel pin, lift pump with 3/8i.d. fuel line feeding it, m&h timing spacer and a 366 gov spring. Im sure there is something im missing lol.

Yeah i can stand to loose alittle off the line fueling for sure. The truck is at the body shop right so when it gets back and it's all together I'll do some more fine-tuning on it

Very nice. The hood clearencing is a bit of a bummer. That was one thing I spent a bunch of time on building my compounds was making sure my hood closed properly.
