In progress
After seven rough years of wheeling and winter driving the old bronco was getting a little rough.
Two engines and three pairs of axles, evolving from a 4" ttb lift, to a 6" ttb lift, then solid axle swap with a d44 and arb air locker, then 9" rear swap with a grizzly locker.
Tired of breaking axles and the poor mileage nearley led me to buying a psd excursion. Came as close as test driving one!. (also wanted better towing)
A friend and I had tossed the idea around of a cummins swap for some time and I finally stumbled onto a good donor truck. A rolled 93 with 220k on it . Ended up buying it for 1500.
Sold the bed/lift kit/axles and a misc thing or two for 1,100 bucks!
Motors got a new hg, toxic diesel 60lb springs, valve job etc.
mighty diesel bolts, super B, 5x12 sticks, thd piston pump, 4" diamond eye, Denny 2, diesel performance converter. 366 spring. Advanced a tooth but pulled all the way back from head. Aluminum psd intercooler .
Hoping for a good cool 325 rwhp or a hot 375.
Axles are from a 86 f350 . Sterling 10.25 rear features a Yukon grizzly locker (liked it that much in my nine inch!)
And a d60 front with James duff long arms , and broncoair track bar and bracket.
As she sits now the engine is bolted in with trans./t case.
Need to make transmission crossmember
