Runs pretty good, my buds 7.3 auto is only 1 sec faster and it has intake exhaust tune and stage 1.5 injectors

What do your EGTs get to on a run like that?

My biggest issue is getting power to the ground. The trans shifts awesome but the torque converter is too loose, just slips on a hard run.

No egt or boost gauges. I try to keep out of the throttle other than those vids, until I can get some gauges.

Yea the stock converter is a power sucker. I've heard that an auto equipped truck will lose near 25% to the wheels

I think manual trucks lose around 15 to 18%

I noticed a hair more top end when I put my piston pump on, with your fueling did you notice a difference? Is your timing advanced any?

Yeah timing is bumped to the head.

It did make a pretty substantial difference in top end power with the piston pump. But I bypassed the stock filter and ran bigger lines at the same time. Has much more top end git up now. Once again, torque converter just slips though.

I noticed it ran a lot faster in the 2nd accel vid, was it a boost launch or did you tune out some low end fuel? In that video it's actually as fast as the stroker

2nd one was from a 10mph roll.

It doesn't do bad for nearly stock.

Finally found a usable HE351 for a good price, $120. Going to stick new bearings n seals in, open up the wg and run it.

For sure.

Went through it today, used the exhaust housing off the junk he I had, as the one I bought was pretty rusty. Opened up the wastegate to one inch.

Need to get a downpipe figured out and then I'll stick it on.

I turned the actuator solenoid into a plug (hacked off coil and brazed it shut) so until I get gauges I'm going to run it at the factory 20-22 psi. I'll add an adjustable elbow later on. I'm sure the h1c is currently running around 30 psi, but I don't want to chance it with the HE.

After that it'll be time for a new HG, studs(or bolts), 60 lb springs, 366 gov spring. Have a 66mm turbo off of a C9 I might try to hang next to the 351.

Hacked off the flange from the rotted 351 ex housing and welded it onto some 4" pipe, cut several angled sections, homebrew downpipe.

Got the turbo on and half a downpipe done. Charge piping made out of exhaust pipe, not exactly ideal.

Seems to work well. Need to finish the dp and crank up the boost :mrgreen:
