So first off, I apologize because ya'll were right
The video he sent me that I timed must have been down a 12% grade, because he let me drive it and it runs a 10 sec 0-60.......
His converter stays locked in direct and OD down to 1800ish rpm, and it's a 4.10 truck like mine. So that makes the comparison a bit more accurate to my 5 speed.
There's a 10% grade 1/4 mile long hill I always do my WOT tests on. Starting the hill at 45 in 4th and letting out before the hill starts to round off, my truck hit 61 mph.
Same day same variables, his truck locked in direct starting at 45 hit 63 mph. That's with 3" to 5" straight pipe, updated compressor wheel, and 6 pos chip on 140 (hottest) tune.
So if my 40 hp-over-stock truck almost stays with his "140 over stock" truck, that tune adds not even close to 140 horse.........stock HPOP not keeping up you think?
