I just found out when I scrapped metal that my truck weighs 7200lbs. It's a 1989 D350 5-spd 3.55 gears with a flatbed so I'm guessing I need to find a regular bed to get the weight down as I'm sure that hinders fuel economy. Hand guesstimated with gps (no odometer) I was getting 18 on the highway running 65-70. I have to drive it for work so there is no parking it. I'm going to look into putting a pan under the front and post if it makes a difference.
