Any 12v performance manifold will work if its t3 foot. Alligator performance had a reasonable priced one.

I think this is what dazed and confused mentioned: http://www.alligatorperformance.com/die ... -4634.html

I'm under the same impression.

Yes but why? The three piece idea is alot of the reason to have an aftermarket manifold. You can only reach so far with a die grinder and it can still shrink just the same.

ive seen guys port match their heads in order to run a 24v mani dont ask me why..., but yes they will not just bolt up to a 12v...

I've heard of guys doing that and porting the manifold also alot of them i seen was on the 351vgt manifolds so they didn't have to run an adapter.

DodgeFreak, Can you explain that a little more? Were they porting the round holes on the 04.5-7 stock manifold to match the square holes on the 1st gen head so the He351 was a direct bolt on to the turbo/manifold flange? If so, isn't that a lot more work than taking a 12valve manifold and adapting the turbo flange? Very interested in this as I'm hoping to upgrade to an he351. Thanks.

it was for the he351ve the 351cw is a t3 flange so it will bolt to 12v manifold with minor mods, They were porting both the head and the manifold I think....its been to long, It was over on Cumminsforum where I was seeing. They thought the 24v manifolds flowed alittle better and was alittle better quality...don't quote me on all of this as i'm going from memory but search cumminsforum and you can read alot of details about it and the setting up the 351ve.

I may try this mod because the 1st gen exhaust manifold is so restrictive.
