Turbo upgrade options????

Postby 1993CTD » Mon Oct 29, 2012 8:00 am

I am ready to do a turbo upgrade on my 93 but Im not in the market for 1000 or higher turbo. Just looking to do somthing for better towing capabilities and a little more sthi in her pants. I was looking at the gds 60 mm upgrade but didn't know how the spool would be with the stock 18 housing would be... All opinions are appreciated thanks

Wastgate needs to be tacked or wired shut, compressor housing needs to be clocked slightly.

2 of 4 holes on turbo ex flange need to be opened up slightly to allow studs to fit through.

You will need these:

One of these (and clamps) depending if you run coolertubz or not, also recomend installing a powerstrok intercooler when doing this:

Ok dosent seem to complicated, but I didnt plan on running a stroker intercooler would that still be alright? and I do have 4 in Exhaust from turbo back so would I still need to weld the flange on there?

You will still need the flange, its different than your current one. You dont need to run the PS IC but it is a good upgrade to do.

Dont search for a "he351cw" locally, search for a turbo off a dodge 0.4-07. People have no idea what turbo they have on there trucks, only know what it came from.

Other than that a hx35 is probably your best cheap option.
