First I guess I should mention it's a 92 250le ex-cab with 130k, a slush box, 245-85-16's and a work cap on it full of junk.
The truck is going to be used for work towing a lite trailer (2-3k) for the most part and hauling water (5k). I will be hauling a 5-6k load cross country to Tenn. and occasionally a lite run up north to WA.
So far I've rotated the cone to it's deepest and turned the smoke screw down flush with the nut (3/4 turn) also turned the star wheel 1 turn down. Plan to turn fuel screw to the collar next. Still need to get a 366. It's got the 21cm pig and I have complete stock 18cm non-ic to swap in if you think it's worth the time.
Not really looking for more then about 250hp. More interested in mileage and longevity with little if any smoke to keep the smog dogs away. Also don't want to much heat on hills. I understand that bigger nozzles help with IP longevity and mileage but don't know if that matters much for only 250hp.
So tell me what do you think I should do with some 5-12's/370's sec-gens I have. Should I swap nozzles and play with the star wheel to keep heat down or try and trade them for something smaller ?
