Thanks TC that gave me an idea !

Before doing any mods I just might sandwich a piece of 1/4" spacer between the mani and the housing and compare that to without the spacer. Just for giggles and grins ;)

Also I'm still hoping for some feed back on turbo rebuild kits - where do you buy them etc. the local shop (over 40m away) wants $125 for the parts he deems "necessary" . Add the tax and fuel for the drive and it's well over $150 - OUCH ! That seems a bit much for what looks like all that's really needed is 2 small brass bushings, a brass thrust plate, 2 O-rings and a few circlips.

Somebodies got to have a suggestion - anybody ?

For the rebuild, ask Mark Nixon. He rebuilds quite a bit.

Now that we have a HP goal...

Stock injectors, a ground or bought fuel pin, opened exhaust, and a bigger mouth to the air filter housing will get you 250 HP at the wheels.

I'd add a piston lift pump of some sort for good luck. I did 274/503 with essentially the list that oldestof11 suggested plus a piston lift pump with the larger stock injectors (4x.013).
