the whole point is no one is answering... cant even get a hold of them.

paid with a debit card, could probably try and fight it... but honestly I still want them. I'm going to hold out for one more week... if by next friday I have not talked to Jamie, I will be disputing the charge

Stupid part is Chris, who used to work there, is the one trying to help me out. Even Weston has said he is trying to call but Jamie has not answered either of them

Visa debit card?

They can still pull the money. Give them a time, date, and how much. If you have the invoice, the invoice #. Tell them you bought something from a company, never received your goods, and cannot get a hold of them. They should be helpful. I have never done this but I have seen my dad do it. The money was back in a day or 2.

yeah Jon, is a visa card. apparently Weston is building them now... but no reply from him over the last week.

ive got a few issues with how the truck is running... wondering if I need more timing.

first of all, the truck just barely cleans up the fuel Ive got now. I dont know if this is because of crappy stock injectors or what.

I'm building about 45lbs under good load, got about 20psi of fuel pressure, timing is pushed to the head( literaly touching the head)

with the smoke screw bottomed (helps spool the turbo), starwheel pretty loose, and 3 screws on the pump, Ive still got a (very) light gray haze at sustained WOT.

Opinions? at about 1800 rpm the turbo takes no time to light, anything below that and it takes a bit to get lit.

should i skip a tooth?

Weston has always built them. I am no longer a fan of his.

update... still no injectors, completely ruined my plans for the truck this summer.

pulling tomorrow, sat and sunday.

made a new fuel system yesterday, 5/8 (1/2 ID) air line for the feed, through a separator and a filter, 45 gal tank mounted in the bed, 1/2 return (3/8 ID) re-tapped the head of my piston pump for 3/8 pipe, while I was at it found the screen before the lift pump plugged (woops) gained 10 psi at idle from just cleaning out that screen filter.

truck runs better, more midrange power, less haze? don't know why but its a noticeable drip in part throttle haze. She is dead even with my buddies commonrail (stock turbo, 60% over CP3, 100horse over injectors, smarty set on kill) I'd like to dyno it before the injectors to see if I'm at 400 hp with the stock injectors. he only weighs in at 7000lbs, so i figure his HP is close to mine, id imagine he is easily 400

yes the truck is a mess... this may be the last season for this truck, may do a frame off build this winter.

and yes... there would be a lot less tubing here if I had used 90's, but decided not to for flow, the straight fittings do well, filter bleed themselves all the way to the lift pump, in essence the liftpump is gravity fed

Nice, man!

Not only does it help out, but it makes me not feel so bad about how my suction hoses look. :P

lol, what can I say, 60$ worth of fittings and hose and she is leak free and flowing like it should, of course if i happen to throw a driveshaft this weekend all that tubing will be FUBAR.

I like having the room under the truck with the tank gone, its always been a mystery of whats behind there, stock lines are still there, all the previous owners hacked fuel lines, brake lines galore...poor old truck

Heh, I didn't even notice your tank was gone. My frame is completely perfect throughout it's entire length except right behind my tank. How did yours look back there? My fuel lines and brake line were both rusty as hell back there

I wouldn't worry about it throwing a DS either, it's just a 1stgen, it doesn't have the power.

Alex, why didn't you use the pushlok fittings for that hose? I did, it works slick if you need to change something, just push in, hold the collar, and pull the hose out.
You have less haze because the pump is now supplying enough fuel to atomize at the injectors.
You could have used a few 45's, on the other hand, who's gonna see it under the truck? As long as you're happy, it's good! ;)

Just because they were a bit more pricey Pete, guy gave me a great deal on fittings.

well.... smoked the clutch tonight trying to pull 3rd gear 4low on a clay track, my gut told me not too but every "experienced" puller and their uncle told me to try 3rd. pieces flying off in the bellhousing on the way home, slips at the slightest bit of power. I'm pissed an I plan on calling southbend

...last time i will ever ignore my gut feeling.

pretty depressed about it, If I killed a 500/1000 clutch, there is no sense replacing it with a getrag specific double disk, then twisting off the input. soooooo... I dont know.

guess the truck is going to sit untill I figure out a plan that jives with my wallet, I certainly cant afford a 4000$ swap to an NV and a dual disk.

considering parting the truck out, and building my secondgen... a little "no Alex... keep the 1stgen and keep your hopes up" kinda talk would do me well LOL

UGHHHH!!!

Others can pull 3rd low because their transfer case has a bigger low side to our measly 1.96:1. They have 2.73:1???

I hear a lot of good things with Valairs street triple. Good for pull yet shifts as smooth and fast as the stock clutch.
