THAT has never been said. :!:

With the 188/220 cam, it is recommended that one check and confirm the PTV clearance.

You think your engine has never been apart, but considering you're not the original owner you don't actuall know.

My old man was the original owner of my truck, so I know it had never been tampered. :)

It's pretty. It's got funky color strips around the shaft next to the lobes where it was induction hardened?

I'm in the house looking-up the torque spec for the damper. :P

Still putting it back together.

It's 92ft/lbs IIRC. :)

Actually, I normally keep things pretty clean around the engine and often paint stuff when I have it apart. I say often, . . . .. this isn't one of those times. Just shut the hood and walk away.

I've got to get some pics of it (wear-patterns, etc) for myself and Zach. ;)

Yeah, wear-wise, things look really good. I'll post pics eventually.

I have a buddy that bashes ARP all day long, says the arp cummins studs are junk and they break all the time yada yada....

I asked him what he was pulling them to, 175ftlbs he says...OK jay, I'm sure its the studs fault

I'm running A1 studs, washers and nuts as supplied by Haisley Machine. 135ft/lbs.

Pulling them from 100ft/lbs up to 135ft/lbs in 5ft/lb increments, 30 minutes apart. Have to eats me spinach!

hmmmm... who says to do it that way? Haisley?

the worst is hot retorques, pulling the injector lines to get the studs between the valve covers, ugh

I think 150lbs is the recommended MAX... I most likely am wrong but I thought I saw that on CompD...

Haisley didn't say that. It's some low-key stuff I read on the Internets. Using a digital torque-wrench with audible approach/target signals so as to allow for stretch. As is, I've no fear of taking it out tomorrow evening and beating the sthi out of it.

Yup, hot-torquing isn't kewl.

You can give my 2nd dibs to Tater as I can't really afford it right now.
