Yes the grease does work. It even works when your drilling or tapping your manifold for a pyro probe. I'll use a shop vac for drilling. And turn the engine on the last little bit. Bu when I'm taping I'll use grease on the tap. It's a neat little trick.

Well the second drain is done hopefully the grease worked lol ill redo the hoses tomorrow and see how it works

By looking at my front crossmember, looks like you can drop the back of the pan far enough to get a pair of pliers in to hold the back side of a bulkhead fitting.

Well I just drilled a 7/8 hole in the pan and then welded a washer I made on a piece of stock drain pipe and stuck it in the hole in the pan and welded the washer to the pan and then used some metal bonding export to make sure I wouldn't have any leaks

In addition to the grease, I like to use a circle magnet froma cb antenna. Put the hole youre drilling in the middle and go for it. It works great!
