So are you putting in stock injectors or another set of modified ones?

well long time no post on here i was trying to ginx myself i guess.

i installed the new set of injectors from stan. 6 injectors that were new nozzles and core bodies.

ran great for a week and i sorta noticed a small power loss but i figured it was just me thinking they were down.
5 weeks after i installed them they started loping. cracked each line till i found #6 was stuck closed.

so for the i was without a truck due to my injectors. i was done with stans injectors. sorry but he had great customer service but his product did not hold up well in my application.
found a local guy to look at rebuilding these injectors or replace them. what he found was when the nozzles were cut naturally burs are found on the interior of the nozzle. well no pintle work was done also so that leaves burs where the pintle seats in the nozzle. so that means every time the pintle comes down it slams into the burs and well you can guess what that does to a injector.
upon further inspection found that they were 89-91 bodies which have no i think chopper or filter in them? i dont really remember that part.
Also they were 2nd gen nozzles that are 155 degree spray angle vs the 1st gen angle of 145 degrees. as stan would put it spray angle does not really matter but if you think about it it really does. the spray angle varies with the piston used, timing head gasket and other things. stock truck most likely wont bother it. but my truck runs a .010" thicker head gasket a fair bit of timing and wrong spray pattern. more timing means fuel is injected further away from the piston getting it further and further out of the piston bowl.

so basically in my application they did not work. idk if these are the only injectors he does not do pintle work on or what. but i know the guy is a great guy and has excellent customer service so i am not in any way dogging on him or puttin him down but just letting you guys know what i have found with them.

Please let Stan know what was found. This would give him a better opportunity for quality control and be able to improve his product.
