I had an idea

pardon the rough sketch
.
I've been watching this thread for a while and I think I have a possible solution for a dual feed VE.
1. keep the original fuel supply system stock, well almost.
2. a secondary supply line to VE using the fuel shut off hole.
3. a high pressure electric pump (minimum of 120psi) Electric pump set to turn on around 12psi of boost
4. 2 check valves, see diagram
5. a variable fuel regulator. set to open @ around 15psi boost, and by the time you were within 5psi maximum boost, you would have the regulator opened to 120psi of fuel supply line pressure.
6. line from tank to where it tee's would have to be upraded to say a 1/2 inch line?
7. possibly install one filter before tee to eliminate the need for two filters.
The idea is that the stock fuel system would supply all fuel needs while driving normaly and the secondary system would engage only when when really stepping on the go peddle. It would also eliminate the annoyance of having an electric pump running all the time, even with the truck not running but having the key on to listen to tunes while installing the next upgrade.

It should also work for those who have the capability to use more fuel than the internal vane pump can supply.

also, the point where the secondary system engages could be adjusted to suit personal use, I just used those numbers as the place I would probably start at.
Am I completly off my rocker?
