Its much better than the brake cleaner bath he was talking about

I think what caused him to paint it was how nice my ppump engine looked haha

It's a good thing I can't read all this or my feelings would be really hurt. :P

The engine is sitting on it's mounts and bolted up to the trans. I'll get some pics up once I get the VCs painted black.

That was a big contributor in the color choice, actually. The thing already dripped oil everywhere, but at least now I have an excuse as to why it's doing it.

I've actually got it planned out on how I'm going to do it, Ill post pics when I get the truck back from getting 47rh'd.

And I did search, aparently in the wrong sections or the wrong keywords.

One CompD guy calls you out on not searching and you squeal like a pig. Next one will probably get your Debit card PIN.

Here Pete, I was going to wait until I had the VCs painted, but your lack of faith was so disheartening I wasn't able to. :P

Here's the pile of parts in different stages of readyness:

And here's what I have done so far. Once the VCs are on there should be a lot more contrast. I'm still debating on whether or not to paint the timing cover vent black or leave it green. I'll just have to get the rest finished and decide.

leave it green, I love the color, makes it look so different.

Im debating wearther or not I should pull my engine out just to clean it, and fix leaks and what not.

But I've always wanted to make a fully built motor, get it 100% finished and paint the whole darn thing cummins Beige... just so it looks like some stock power plant.

anyways... HURRYYY UP!!! get that thing crackalackin!

I figured you would have cleaned the engine bay while you had the engine out.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahahaha!!!

But seriously ,no freaking way I'm going to bother cleaning that engine bay. For the multiple days it would take it would stay clean for a month at the maximum. Also:

I know I wouldn't. I miss my truck so much at this point that no amount of cleanliness or oil retention would make that worth it. Not to mention the fact that depending on what diesel prices do you better get all the drive time you can. I already regret parking mine back when fuel was cheaper...

If i lived a little closer i would have slicked up your bay for ya, just so that nice engine had
a clean and spiffy home for a while anyhow.

i'm a sucker for polished stuff, soooooo all the aluminum stuff would be blingin on that green.
