I thought that was a polite way to say you were in the next county chasing transvestites.

I don't think there is a polite way to say that.

I'll give Jesse some practice on it soon.

I loved that one! My favorite part was when he started with a piece of rebar and an anvil, and in the next scene he had hammered a prop for his boat.

Um, IIRC it was connecting rod with a nickel?
How about the egg to plug the radiator trick?

I know for a FACT that a half can of pepper(about 3 ounces) will temporarily seal minor leaks in a radiator, too.

Well then, if you girls are about done in here, I'd like to say that I just bought my compressor housing. "BBD Performance" said he can get me the right housing, so I just dropped $325 smackers on it. The dude has apparently been searching his ass off for it, so I've got high hopes for it to be right.

I seriously debated just looking into a 64mm of some sort, since I'll need to upgrade anyways, but I just can't make myself care enough to put in the legwork to find a deal on one. If this housing works, I'll be putting on my new middlecooler and running it around some while the Ramcharger finished getting deconstructed.

You mean Brice was actually CIVIL to you?
At one time I called him up on some injectors and tried to pin him down on hole sizes and number of holes and he just acted like I didn't know what I was talking about.
I think you could do better than him.

I put up a thread in the "Get a Quote" section and he's the only person that even responded. I didn't catch any bad waves off of him, though I didn't get any real details from him on it either. I was trying to find the outlet hole size in the housing and he never would tell me.

I told him what I had learned about the housing having a smaller backing plate, but he seemed to think his was the right one so I don't have any reason to think otherwise. I'm not too sure he actually handles any of these parts, you know? I see most of these businesses as more of a place where you order, then they order what you ordered and tack an ordering fee on it. Whether or not they actually handle the part is something I've always questioned.

Like I said, no skin off my back as long as it fits I'll only have good things to say about the fellow. 8)

Well, TacoBell, if you're experience is good, then bully fer you! :D

I'll admit, I got really pissy with him and basically asked him if he actually knew anything about what he sells, or if he was like most of the other shops, an "installer", of course it went all to shti from there.
It didn't help that I bagged his ass hard on the forum over it, either.

This type of business always gets me peeved, they want to sell you something, yet they won't even "spring for the Cliff's Notes" to bail their asses out of jams.
You wouldn't believe how simple dimensions and baseline applications will help out a dumb counterperson.

If I didn't know what I were selling, much less be able to describe it, trouble shoot it and tell you guys the physics of installing it, hell, I'd never hear the end of it.
