Im going for 500 this summer, with the VE, and the current (clapped) 6bt thats in my truck... shoe string budget if there ever was one, probably 3000$ tops
Im not worried about "what if's" if I break, the clutch is good for 550Horse... hopefully it will meet me there...even if its slips out its last breath at 500horse
essentially... im looking for opinions on the easiest way to get there from where my engine is now.
as of now..
345 spring, arp 2000's, hamilton 188, 60lb springs, non-Ic injectors, hx35/12, big intercooler, unregulated 2ndgen piston pump.
looking for the most econmical way to get there, without spray.
not afraid of going big on the injectors...question is how big, 5x18? 5x20? street manners don't matter
afc? or no afc? that its the question...
big single? or budget twins?... could I spool a small s400 as a single? what would the old hx35/ht3b get me?
I will be building a 14mm Pump for the job, with a bigger fuel sysytem...probably will just be fed by a single gear/belt driven pump for now, somewhere near 50psi Inlet pressure
this will be the "going for broke" build, to finish of this 5.9 before I go to a fully built, balanced motor that will be going even bigger
this should be fun....
